Breast Lift

A Breast Lift elevates and redefines the breasts while repositioning the nipples and areolas to a higher, more natural position. This procedure corrects sagging and improves symmetry in 2-3 hours. If enhancing or reducing volume is part of your vision, a lift can be combined with an augmentation or reduction.

What Breast Lift types are out there?

Breast Lifts can be approached in three different ways. Each method has its benefits, but with the help of your Bliss Care Advisor, you can explore the type of Breast Lift that's best suited for you.

01.

The Inverted T (Anchor) Lift:

The Inverted T (Anchor) Lift combines 3 incisions to address sagging: around the areola, vertically down to the breast crease, and horizontally along the crease. This is the most common approach used and is the most versatile in correcting all types of breast sagging from mild to severe. While an Anchor technique requires more incisions, it allows your surgeon to remove the necessary amount of tissue to achieve the best shape and size for your lift.  In most cases, the scars heal very well and become less noticeable over time.

02.

Techniques for mild to moderate sagging:

The Donut (or Peri-Areolar) Lift uses a circular incision around the areola, suitable for mild sagging, slight nipple asymmetry, or reducing areola size. The Vertical (Lollipop) Lift adds a vertical incision from the areola to the breast crease, offering more lift for moderate sagging while preserving a natural shape. Both techniques result in less scarring, but may not be appropriate for certain types of breast anatomy or for moderate to severe nipple drop.

03.

The Crescent Lift:

The Crescent Lift is a great option for minimal sagging, using a small incision along the upper half of the areola and often paired with breast augmentation for a subtle, natural enhancement. This technique is not commonly used and is only appropriate in very minimal cases of nipple drop.

Bliss turns the typical procedure process into a transformative experience. From your first consultation to your final reveal, every step — before, during, and after — is personalized around you. Your Care Advisor will guide you through surgeon-matching, procedure prep, and post-op healing, making sure you’re fully supported, perfectly prepared, and cared for at every moment.

Let’s talk about results.

A Breast Lift won’t pause the natural aging process, but the results can be long-lasting with the right care. By staying consistent with post-operative care and making healthy lifestyle choices, you can enjoy beautifully refreshed contours and a smoother recovery journey.

Immediate post-op

Soreness and fatigue are to be expected, with some bruising but a noticeable new shape.

Weeks 2-4

Swelling and bruising will fade, and lifting your arms will be easier.

Months 1-3

Scars will begin to fade over time, and your final results will be clearer.

Post-Op Risk Prevention

A breast Lift elevates sagging breasts and repositions the nipples for a more perky appearance. It can also enhance breast symmetry and improve nipple projection, especially in cases of extreme sagging. By removing excess skin and tightening surrounding tissue, the procedure creates firmer, more shapely breasts.

Lifting the breasts can relieve skin irritation or chafing beneath the breast crease and may even result in reduced back pain and improved posture. Many clients also find that clothing and bras fit more comfortably and flattering after their procedure.

A rejuvenated breast appearance often leads to increased self-confidence and a more positive body image. Breast Lifts can also be tailored to individual preferences and beauty goals and can be performed alongside other procedures like augmentations or reductions for comprehensive results.

All procedures result in some sort of scarring, though the appearance varies by approach and personal healing. Scars typically fade over time, and proper post-operative care, like keeping incisions clean and moisturized, can aid the process. Some clients may also experience temporary or permanent changes in nipple or breast sensation, with most cases resolving naturally.

Breast Lifts may impact breastfeeding ability, so it’s important to discuss family plans with your surgeon to help guide your procedure’s approach. Post-procedure, some clients may notice asymmetry in breast shape or position. While skilled surgeons prioritize symmetry, minor follow-up procedures might be necessary.

Though rare, complications such as infection, hematoma (blood buildup), seroma (fluid buildup), tissue necrosis, or deep vein thrombosis (DVT) can occur. Monitoring for unusual swelling, discomfort, or redness, and following post-op instructions closely, can help prevent or manage these issues.

Financing is how most Bliss clients bring their dreams to life. Yet, 76% of people exploring procedures still don’t know this option is available. No wonder 85% of those who don’t book say affordability is holding them back, and two-thirds would be more likely to move forward if they knew financing was an option.

We work with trusted lenders like CareCredit to offer you a range of financing options, so you can get started on your procedure now and pay over time. Flexible, secure, and with 0% interest for up to 24 months, it’s care that fits your budget, not the other way around. With multiple providers, we’ll make sure you get the best rate possible.

Find the right Breast Lift surgeon.

One of the most important parts of your aesthetic journey is finding the right surgeon for your procedure. One who will honor and respect your comfort level, aesthetic goals, and give you the results you’ve been wanting. But how do you know when you’ve found “the one?”

Board certification

Surgeons who are certified in aesthetic or ophthalmic surgery have undergone rigorous training and must pass comprehensive written and oral exams. Certification ensures that the surgeon has met high standards of education, training, and ethical practice.

Experience and specialization

Look for a surgeon who specializes in Breast Lifts and performs them regularly. Don’t be shy. Question them about their specific experience with different Breast Lift methods extensively. A surgeon who frequently performs your desired procedure is likely to have refined their technique, leading to better results.

Bedside manner and communication

It should be your practitioner’s top priority to make you feel comfortable, safe, and heard. They should listen to your goals and concerns and provide clear, honest answers to your questions. A good practitioner will not pressure you into additional procedures and will suggest options that are best for your health and beauty goals.

Before and after photos

Reviewing “before” and “after” photos is fun, but that doesn’t make it any less serious a step when choosing a surgeon for your Breast Lift. Photos of previous clients give you a sense of their work and the results you can expect. All photos of performed Breast Lifts should be available to you during your consultation, even if they are not posted online due to privacy concerns.

Facility accreditation

A Blepharoplasty should only be performed in an accredited facility. Accredited surgical centers meet strict safety and quality standards, providing a safe environment for your procedure. Look for accreditation from organizations such as the American Association for Accreditation of Ambulatory Surgery Facilities (AAAASF) or the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care (AAAHC).
